Nuhanciam X Irisé Paris: The Interview
To mark the start of the school year, Nuhanciam launched its first limited edition collection in collaboration with the makeup brand Irisé Paris.
A set called "Duo Glamour Nuhanciam X Irisé Paris" containing two essentials: a moisturizer and a lipstick suitable for all skin tones. It includes our Nuhanciam Hydra Intense Cream ) and an Irisé Paris lipstick in the shade "Cavalière."
This collaboration was a natural fit for the two founders, Muriel Berradia and Maude Gay. Indeed, they share common values—such as 100% French and ethical manufacturing—as well as strong commitments. Both Nuhanciam and Irisé Paris are dedicated to promoting women’s entrepreneurship.
On this occasion, we had the chance to interview the founder of Irisé Paris: MAUDE GAY
How did you come up with the idea to create Irisé? I’ve been in love with makeup ever since I was old enough to wear it! In fact, I’ve always worked in the cosmetics industry. I have a rather intuitive and playful approach to makeup. I love playing with colors and textures. I’ve never really felt compelled to follow trends or techniques. I think makeup is all about desires, emotions—and mood!
Irisé Paris was born from this realization. So we created the MOOD BOX, a customizable makeup palette with endless possibilities, so you can take the colors you desire with you wherever you go. The colors are intense, and the textures are very easy to work with. Fun and intuitive doesn’t mean quality isn’t important. Quite the opposite! IRISÉ PARIS’s mission is to make expert makeup application easy and joyful. Our products are preservative- and fragrance-free and are manufactured in an exceptional laboratory in France.
How has multicultural beauty been important in the creation of your brand? As you can see, for example, on our Instagram account,our models have very different physical features. Makeup is simply a matter of personal preference—not skin color or any other physical consideration! This has an impact on our product formulas. Since a shade must be wearable on both porcelain-white skin and ebony-black skin, this requires highly pigmented formulas. We also have an extensive range of powder foundations. It’s one of IRISÉ PARIS’s commitments to meet the expectations of all women.
What’s your must-have Nuhanciam product? TheHydra-Intense Cream. It’s very pleasant to apply, effective, and has an ultra-natural formula!
What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs? Believein your idea while listening to others’ advice. Often, the solution to a problem—or even new ideas—comes from others!
